Ellicott Mills Brewing Company

This is the second time I hav been to Ellicott Mills Brewing Company this year. First time was for lunch. It is located in historic Ellicott City, MD. It is a nice looking brewery and restaurant. There is a middle floor that you enter on and then an upstairs and downstairs for additional dinning and a bar downstairs. I did not explore either additional floors. 

They brew German style beers and some additional seasonal, but center around the German style. I really liked the dunkel beer and the märzen styles. I did two flights on this trip, thanks GF Chic for driving. The first was the four traditional german styles and the second was the seasonal. I have to admit, I don’t normally like pumpkin ales, but the cinnamon sugar coated rimmed knocked this one out of the park. Overall, the beer was good.

The first time I went, I was very excited to take a growler home of the dunkel beer, but it was flat when I opened it and went to drink it. Because the beer is not pasteurized, you put a deposit down on one of their growlers and therefore the beer can be sitting there a while.

We ate there tonight and I liked the wings, but GF Chic did not like the steak or the french fries.
